Hisense TV No Sound (Try This Simple Fix FIRST!)

Most Hisense TVs eventually run into the same issue: the sound stops working.

There are many instances of Hisense Smart TV owners claiming to have had this issue, with some stating it’s been a problem for years!

Thankfully, we found a solution that should fix over 90% of Hisense TVs with no sound.

How To Fix A Hisense TV With No Sound

If your Hisense TV doesn’t have sound, you must reset it. Disconnect your TV from the wall and wait one minute. While the device is unplugged, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Then, wait a minute and reconnect your TV’s power cable.  The TV will softly reboot, and the sound should work again!

Unplug your TV from the Wall

The easiest way to fix no sound on your Hisense TV is to unplug the television from the wall outlet, which is a quick yet effective solution.

While you do this, be sure to wait the entire 60 seconds before plugging it back in, or else it won’t work correctly.

Once the television is unplugged, locate and hold the power button on your TV for 30 seconds, which is usually near the bottom or back of the TV.

NOTE: You must hold the power button on your television (not the remote control) for this to work.

Your TV will perform a soft reset cycle and use any remaining battery life, which is more effective than turning your television off and on.

After a minute, reconnect the TV’s power cord; the sound should work perfectly now.

This simple fix should help most of you, but we have a few other solutions worth trying if it hasn’t.

Make sure your TV isn’t muted

Here’s another solution you probably already tried, but it’s worth double-checking.

Maybe you or a family member hit the mute button by mistake…

Maybe the sound controls on your remote aren’t working correctly…

Regardless, turn the volume up on your television and make sure it’s unmuted.

It’ll save you a lot of time and effort if this solves the problem.

Reset Hisense TV Sound Settings to Default

If soft resetting and unmuting your Hisense TV didn’t work, you may have some suboptimal sound settings causing your television to have no sound at all.

The best way to fix this issue is to reset the sound settings altogether:

1. Press the Settings button on your remote control then select Device Preferences.

2. Once you’re in the Device Preferences, scroll down and click Sound.

3. Choose Reset to Default, and then a prompt will appear.

4. Click Yes to confirm the reset.

NOTE: Your sound settings will now reset, and hopefully, your sound issue will be resolved.
